Altitude sickness

In this FB post Mark Schmanko inquires into developmental assumptions and wonders if there are other dimensions that curtail them, one being health/sickness. I recommended Mark Edwards' Ph.D. dissertation because not only does he include a multitude of lenses beside the developmental, but also gives an example of how a fixation on the latter can lead to altitude sickness.
