Radical activism as spiritual

Article by Terry Patten. While I am in full agreement that political activism is a spiritual activity, I have one caveat. The framing of spiritual social activism as 'integral evolutionary' to me turns off a lot of so-called common folk who otherwise would get on board. It's part of the larger reason Dump won the election: The revulsion of the elite by the majority. And to me it seems that 'integral evolutionary,' while perhaps a valid description, might be defeating its own purpose given its perception as part of that elite. Such ideas can be framed more effectively like Sanders and Warren do, and thus influence many more people to the cause. Part of that effectiveness is also giving up our attachment to being 'more evolved' and framing it that way. Perhaps it is the last vestige of narcissism from which we must awaken?
