Robert Wright: Nirvana

I'm aligned with the naturalistic interpretation of Buddhism (e.g. Batchelor) and quite opposed to the metaphysical branch, otherwise known as the rangtong and shentong interpretations. And I agree with the conclusion, that through meditative (or related) practices we can at least partially rewire our automatic programming. Evolutionary investigation certainly aids in the process of understanding how and why we came to be so programmed. Nirvana is a multifaceted, interdisciplinary journey that has no end.
